August
Our August newsletter may be arriving just as the calendar turns to September, but it feels fitting for this busy time of year. As summer winds down and familiar routines begin again, gardens are overflowing, harvest season is underway, and farmers’ markets across the province are still full of local food and community connection.
September brings another significant moment for school food in New Brunswick, as the province’s new lunch program will soon begin rolling out in schools. As implementation unfolds, we’ll continue seeking opportunities to support connection, learning, and conversation among school food partners across the province.
In this slightly-later-than-planned issue, we’re sharing updates, opportunities, and resources gathered throughout August. There is also lots more to come this fall: we're launching a new service to support communities with food asset inventory development, sending out the first standalone edition of the "CFM Corner", reconnecting with members of the Provincial Food Security Working Group, and asking for your feedback on the format and content of this newsletter. Stay tuned!
We hope you’ve had a chance to enjoy some slower moments this summer, and we look forward to continuing the conversation and sharing more with you this fall. |
