Food is deeply tied to identity, culture, and belonging, yet food insecurity disproportionately affects marginalized groups, including 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. By embracing inclusivity in food movements, we can leverage the diverse skills, knowledge, and experiences of all to develop innovative strategies, build resilient food systems, and ensure that everyone has access to sufficient, safe, nutritious, culturally appropriate food.
As we continue to celebrate Pride through the month of August, we want to focus on positive representation of those working across New Brunswick's food movements and showcase the contributions and experiences of queer farmers, gardeners, workers, and food security advocates and champions. Is this you?
We are keen to hear your views, but feel free to answer only the questions that suit you. If you could respond by Thursday, August 15th, it would be greatly appreciated!
If you know someone who might be interested in participating, feel free to forward this invitation to them. Please contact us at info@foodforallnb.ca if you have any questions or need more information! |
