March
March is a time of transition. With the arrival of spring, we’ll begin to see signs of change all around us from longer days, to warmer temperatures, and the slow return of growth after winter.
The release of New Brunswick’s 2026–2027 provincial budget this past week will bring a different kind of transition - one that shapes our provincial government’s policy and programming priorities. Government budgets are more than numbers on a page. They are blueprints (or recipes, if you will!) for the policies that shape our lives - from public services and infrastructure to education, food systems, affordability, and community wellbeing.
Along with our regular monthly newsletter programming, we’ve linked to some relevant budget coverage from the past week. In future editions, we’ll take a deeper look at what this budget signals: what priorities being set, where investments are being made, and how it impacts the work happening across communities to build stronger, more connected, and more resilient food systems.
In the meantime, we invite you to share what you’re seeing, hearing, experiencing, and wondering in your communities as a result of this year’s budget announcement. You can reach us at info@foodforallnb.ca. |
